Sadio Mane makes Senegal’s 26-man World Cup squad despite injury concerns
Senegal have released their 26-man squad to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and it has injured Bayern Munich star Sadio Mane on it.
After limping out of Bayern Munich’s 6-1 hammering of Werder Bremen on Tuesday, there has been concerns Senegal’s talisman will miss the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The 2021 AFCON Champions have looked pretty confident they will have their star man in Qatar and head coach Aliou Cisse has named Mane in his final squad.

With loads of talent in every department, Senegal’s golden generation will be aiming for a repeat or more from the Qatar final finish at the 2002 edition.
On an individual level, Sadio Mane has enjoyed an incredible 2022, finishing behind Karim Benzema in the race for the Balloon D’ Or.
For Senegal, they head to the tournament as African Champions having won their first AFCON title In February with a continents hopes for a deep run.
Senegal are pitted in Group A against hosts Qatar, Netherlands and Ecuador. The Terenga Lions will kickstart their campaign against Netherlands on November 21.
