Samuel Chukwueze Delighted With Strong Start at Fulham

Fulham and Nigeria winger Samuel Chukwueze says he is very happy with how his time at Craven Cottage has begun. The 26-year-old joined Fulham on loan from AC Milan on deadline day, but early injuries and international duty meant he played only a few minutes at first.
Recently, however, he has returned to form. Chukwueze has produced four goal contributions in his last three matches, including a brilliant brace against Manchester City. His performance in that match drew plenty of attention, but the winger says he is simply pleased to be helping the team again.
Speaking to the club’s official media, Chukwueze thanked manager Marco Silva for pushing him to improve.
“I’m very happy with my form,” he said. “The coach keeps pushing me to work hard and stay focused. Every game is a new chance to help the team. Even if I play ten or twenty minutes, I must always be ready.”
Chukwueze also praised Fulham’s supporters, saying he was amazed by their passion, especially during the 5–4 loss to Manchester City.
“The fans are amazing. I love them, maybe even more than they love me,” he joked. “They stayed with us from 5–1 all the way to 5–4. They kept singing and pushing us. They deserve more wins and to see the team higher in the table.”
There is an option for Fulham to make Chukwueze’s loan move permanent for around £24 million. His recent form and growing popularity among fans may encourage the club to consider the deal, but several factors remain.
The winger will soon leave for the Africa Cup of Nations, and could be away until late January if Nigeria reach the final. Fulham manager Marco Silva has already expressed concern about losing key players during the tournament.
If a permanent move is to happen, Chukwueze will need to continue his strong performances once he returns, helping Fulham from February until the end of the season.
