Samuel Chukwueze determined to repay manager’s trust with Improved performances
AC Milan’s Samuel Chukwueze has vowed to reward his manager Paulo Fonseca’s faith in him as he aims for more consistent performances on the pitch.
Chukwueze initially struggled to secure playing time this season due to underwhelming displays that fell short of his promising pre-season form, which saw him benched early in the campaign.
Recently, however, Chukwueze has earned more opportunities in Milan’s starting lineup, especially after returning from international duty.
Speaking to MilanTV, Chukwueze said, “Fonseca trusts me, he believes in me. I’m happy to have my chance and want to repay the coach’s confidence.”
The Super Eagles star has contributed one goal and one assist in 12 appearances so far, demonstrating his commitment to improving under Fonseca’s guidance.
Milan has benefited from his presence in recent matches, securing wins with Chukwueze in the lineup, though they recently fell to Napoli in a 2-0 defeat.
As AC Milan heads into a challenging UEFA Champions League match against Real Madrid, Chukwueze hopes to build on his recent form and make a decisive impact for the Rossoneri.
His focus is firmly set on delivering the consistent performances his coach expects, and he is eager to contribute more to Milan’s European campaign.
