Samuel Chukwueze linked with AC Milan exit
Samuel Chukwueze could be on his way out of AC Milan in the upcoming January transfer window, with reports suggesting that the Italian club is open to selling the Nigerian winger.
Chukwueze, who joined Milan at the start of last season in a €20 million move from Villarreal, has struggled to secure a consistent spot on the right flank, prompting the Rossoneri to consider offloading him.
The 25-year-old winger showed flashes of his talent, particularly in the Champions League, where he scored against Borussia Dortmund and Newcastle. However, his overall contribution has been underwhelming, with just one goal in 12 starts during his first season. While former manager Stefano Pioli found a role for him towards the end of last season, new boss Paulo Fonseca prefers different attacking options, with Christian Pulisic occupying Chukwueze’s favored position on the right wing.
Milan, who signed Chukwueze on a contract until 2028, are now evaluating potential offers. The Nigerian is reportedly attracting interest from Premier League sides Aston Villa and West Ham, as well as a potential return to La Liga, with Atletico Madrid rumored to be monitoring his situation.
With Chukwueze’s future uncertain and the January window approaching, his performances in the coming months could determine whether he remains in Milan or seeks a fresh start elsewhere.
