Samuel Chukwueze makes promise to AC Milan fans after starring in win over Man City
Nigeria Super Eagles forward, Samuel Chukwueze has made a promise to fans of AC Milan after starring with two assists in their 3-2 pre-season friendly win over Manchester City.
The AC Milan winger Samuel also expressed his satisfaction with working under new head coach Paulo Fonseca, revealing that he already feels the coach’s trust.
Samuel Chukwueze joined AC Milan last summer from Spanish club Villareal with high expectations.
Chukwueze’s first season with Milan was challenging as he struggled with injuries and found himself behind Christian Pulisic in the lineup. However, with the arrival of a new coach, Chukwueze sees a fresh opportunity to secure a starting role.
In their pre-season match against Manchester City, Chukwueze showcased his potential by providing two assists in the first half. His crosses set up Lorenzo Colombo for a header and a low volley.
Chukwueze commented on his positive experience with Fonseca, saying, “I like the new coach. He gave me an opportunity straight away, and it’s important when someone trusts you. The fans will see a new Samu this year,” the Nigerian international promised.
