Nigeria and AC Milan star Samuel Chukwueze has gifted his long-time manager, Mr. Prince Victor Apugo, a brand new 2024 Toyota Landcruiser worth N250 million in a heartwarming gesture of appreciation.
Mr. Apugo, also known as Ngwomgwo, is the founder and president of Superstar Football Academy. He discovered and nurtured Chukwueze, guiding him through the early stages of his career. It was Apugo who helped the winger secure a place in Nigeria’s U-17 squad, where he starred as the Golden Eaglets won the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup alongside fellow Super Eagles stars like Victor Osimhen.
Chukwueze has maintained a close relationship with Apugo, who has been his manager throughout his journey, from joining Villarreal to his current club AC Milan. This generous gift of the luxury car is a testament to the bond between them.
Chukwueze’s gesture came after a dramatic match for AC Milan on Sunday, January 26, 2025, in Serie A. With Milan trailing Parma 1-0 at half-time, the Nigerian winger played the role of hero, scoring a stoppage-time goal to seal a 3-2 comeback victory. His late strike, along with Tijjani Reijnders’ equaliser, helped Milan secure the vital three points in their pursuit of the top spots in the league.
