Scholes Says Pogba Is A No Leader And Too Inconsistent
Paul Pogba has seen his leadership and consistency questioned by Paul Scholes, with the former Manchester United star also bemused by comments regarding attitude at Old Trafford.
A man who once patrolled the Red Devils’ midfield had been among those in favour of an £89 million asset inheriting the captain’s armband this season under Jose Mourinho.
It has, however, taken just two appearances for the ex-England international to start questioning that call.
“He had another really poor game. He’s so inconsistent.”
Scholes was also disappointed to see Pogba come out after a humbling reversal on the south coast and admit that United’s attitude was not what it should be.
He added: “I hope that is lost in translation. There is no defence for that comment, there is no defence for it.
“You say it to yourself, don’t you? You’re constantly saying to yourself: ‘Attitude right, make sure it’s right.’ You don’t need other people to tell you. You don’t need a manager to tell you that or your team-mates.”
