Security operatives delay Amas Obasogie following late Super Eagles invitation

Bendel Insurance goalkeeper Amas Obasogie was left red-faced after security operatives stationed at the entrance of the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo denied him entry.

Called up as a late replacement for Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye after he pulled out of the squad for the matches against Lesotho and Zimbabwe, Obasogie arrived at the team’s base today.

The experienced goalkeeper moved to the stadium shortly after his arrival to join his teammates, who were in their first training session.

At the entrance to the stadium, the gates were locked to Obasogie, denying him access to the training pitch. The Bendel Insurance star was left perplexed as the security personnel denied him entrance, and it took the intervention of a crowd and journalists to rectify the situation.
