Semi Ajayi sent crashing down following West Brom bashing

26 year old Nigerian central defender, Semi Ajayi was at the heart of the West Bromwich Albion defence that was ruthlessly picked apart by Marcelo Bielsa-tutored Leeds United. West Brom became the first team to avoid defeat at the home of the Champions Liverpool, only two days ago, when Ajayi scored a late equaliser to earn them a point. At home to Leeds, they could not keep up the same energy, losing 5-0.

The first Leeds goal was a fortuitous own goal scored by West Brom man, Romaine Sawyers from outside his box, before Alioski, Dallas and Rodrigo all scored within 10 minutes to end the first half 4-0 up. Leeds grabbed a fifth when Brazilian winger, Raphinha scored his second league goal for the club. It was Leeds United’s joint-biggest away win. The result saw West Brom further plunged into relegation crisis, as they lie in 19th place on 8 points with 16 matches played.
