Seth Curry Joins Golden State Warriors, Teams Up with Brother Stephen

The Golden State Warriors have signed free agent Seth Curry, the team confirmed on Wednesday. This move means Seth will now be teammates with his older brother, Stephen Curry.

Seth, who is 35 years old, played last season for the Charlotte Hornets, where he averaged 6.5 points and 1.7 rebounds per game, and made 45.6% of his three-point shots. He has played for nine other teams during his 11-year career. The Warriors will now be his tenth NBA team.

Stephen Curry, an 11-time All-Star, has played for Golden State since he was picked 7th in the 2009 NBA Draft.

Third Pair of Brothers on the Same NBA Team

The Curry brothers are now one of three pairs of brothers who will be on the same team going into the 2025–26 NBA season. The others are:

  • Giannis and Thanasis Antetokounmpo – Milwaukee Bucks

  • Franz and Moritz Wagner – Orlando Magic

If Seth and Stephen both stay on the Warriors’ roster when the regular season begins, they will become the 23rd pair of brothers in NBA history to play for the same team in the same season, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

Not Their First Time in the Same Club System

This isn’t the first time the Curry brothers have been part of the same franchise. In the 2013–14 season, Seth Curry played for Golden State’s G League team, the Santa Cruz Warriors, where he averaged 19.7 points and 5.8 assists. That same season, Stephen made his first NBA All-Star appearance with the main Golden State team.

Stephen was also teammates with his brother-in-law Damion Lee at Golden State for four seasons.
