Shafiul rested as Bangladesh name debutants for second Test
Mosaddek Hossain and Subashis Roy are in line for their Bangladesh Test debuts after being called up, with Shafiul Islam making way for the second and final match against England.
Bangladesh announced their 15-man group for the Dhaka Test, starting Friday, leaving out left-arm paceman Shafiul following the nail-biting 22-run loss to England.
Shafiul did not take a wicket in 15 overs of bowling in Chittagong but chief selector Minhajul Abedin said: “We have rested Shafiul because he got really tired playing his first Test in a long time.”

The absence of Shafiul means a call-up for Subashis, who has never played international cricket, but has claimed 136 wickets in 51 first-class matches.
Meanwhile, middle-order batsman Mosaddek comes in as cover for Sabbir Rahman, who is unwell.
Mosaddek has appeared in five one-day internationals but never featured in the long form of the game.
