Shai Gilgeous-Alexander moves to top on NBA cup Ladder

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has climbed to No. 1 on the NBA Cup MVP Ladder following a standout run through Group Play and the Quarterfinals. Averaging 33.2 points per game, he has been the most reliable and impactful performer in the tournament to this point, leading Oklahoma City into the semifinal round.

Jalen Brunson sits at No. 2 after steady scoring and good play for New York, while San Antonio’s Stephon Castle has risen to No. 3, continuing his strong push in his first NBA season. Even with those performances, Gilgeous-Alexander’s consistency has placed him at the front of the MVP race as the field narrows.

His move into the top position reflects both his production and his influence on the Thunder’s success so far. With the semifinals ahead, his play will be central to Oklahoma City’s chances of advancing and to how the final MVP conversation unfolds.
