Shocker as Leicester City ignore Wilfred Ndidi the player with the highest rating in their MoM poll in win against Sheffield
Leicester City have made a shocking decision to leave out Wilfred Ndidi in their man of the match award conducted through a poll after securing a 2-0 win against Sheffield United on Thursday.
A goal either half from Ayoze Perez and Demarai Gray ensured Leicester City secure a comfortable 2-0 win against Sheffield United as they continue to push for a top four finish.
But Wilfred Ndidi as always was by far the best Leicester City player on the pitch but because of his role as a defensive midfielder he was ignored for the poll.
The 23-year-old had 76 touches in the game, made 81.9 pass accuracy, blocked a shot, won 13 of his 15 grand duels, won 3 of his 4 attempted aerial duels, made 10 tackles and 5 interceptions.
For his effort, WIlfred Ndidi was rated 8.3 by sofascore, the highest rating of any player from both clubs, the closest player to him was Youri Tielemans with 7.9 so it was shocking his name was omitted from their poll.

His role in the midfield just ahead of the back four and behind the front four attacking midfielders helped Leicester City to another win.
An important win which ended Leicester City’s two-game win-less streak and gave the Foxes their second win in seven Premier League games since restart.
The win pushes Leicester City to fourth place in the Premier League table one point behind third place Chelsea with two games to go to the end of the season.
