Shooting Stars End Winless Run with Victory Over Niger Tornadoes

Shooting Stars returned to winning ways with a 3-1 victory against Niger Tornadoes in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

The Oluyole Warriors had gone six games without a win before Sunday’s match but finally got back on track at home.

Ayodeji Bamidele gave Shooting Stars the lead seven minutes before half-time. Anthony Okachi made it 2-0 from the penalty spot just before the break.

Niger Tornadoes pulled one back in the 66th minute through Sunday Williams, but Samuel Okon restored the two-goal cushion for Shooting Stars in the 77th minute.

The win lifts Shooting Stars to fourth place on the league table, while Niger Tornadoes stay in 10th position.
