Sidefoot Specialist!’ – Bassey Jokes About Iwobi’s Shooting, Iwobi Promises to Improve
In a fun video shared by Fulham FC, defender Calvin Bassey made a joke about teammate Alex Iwobi’s way of shooting, calling him a “sidefoot specialist.”
Bassey, also a Nigerian international, teased Iwobi for always using the inside of his foot to shoot instead of hitting the ball with power.
“Alex, sidefoot specialist,” Bassey said, laughing. “He’s taken over 100 shots this season — only one was with his laces.”
Iwobi laughed along and replied confidently:
“Next season, I’ll show I can lace some shots too.”
Iwobi Aims to Improve His Finishing
Iwobi had a good season last year, scoring 9 goals and giving 6 assists. Now, he says he wants to add more power to his shots and get even better in front of goal.
