Simy continues tradition against Benevento with his brace in Crotone win
Super Eagles striker Simeon Nwankwo (Simy) found the back of the net twice to help Crotone secure a 4-1 win against Benevento in a Serie A clash on Sunday.
The 28-year-old striker scored twice and assisted a goal to continue his good form against Benevento as Crotone returned to winning ways.
Kamil Glik scored an own goal to put Crotone in front in the 4th minute. Simy made it two for Crotne with his first in the 29th minute.
The Nigerian completed his brace in the 54th minute and then assisted Milos Vulic for Crotone’s 4th goal of the day then Iago Falque came up from the bench to score a consolation for Benevento.
Simy contributed three goals in the game scoring two and assisting one to keep his strong record against Benevento.
He has now scored 6 of his 52 total goals for Crotone against Benevento; four of the goals were in the Serie B while two in Serie A scored today.
So far this season, Simy has scored six Serie A goals in 18 games.
