Six Super Eagles stars to watch out for as Premier League starts today

The start of the 2022/23 Premier League is upon us and there will be at least six Super Eagles stars to look out for.

Today, Crystal Palace will welcome Arsenal at Selhurst Park as both London clubs go head to head.

Although no Super Eagles player will be involved in the fixture, there will be at least one involved on Saturday, Sunday, and for the rest of the season.

6. Frank Onyeka, Brentford

The central midfielder will be playing in his second season in the English top flight league. The 24-year-old midfielder played a total of 20 games for Brentford last season.

Frank Onyeka who only started 12 of the 20 games he played for Brentford will be hoping for a better season.

5. Kelechi Iheanacho, Leicester City

Kelechi Ihenacho who contributed 9 goals in 26 games for Leicester City last season will be hoping for a better season.

The former Leicester City attacker scored 5 goals and assisted 4 goals in the Premier League last season.

4. Wilfred Ndidi, Leicester City

Wilfred Ndidi whose 2021/22 season was marred with injury will be hoping for a great season. Last season, Wilfred Ndidi only played 19 games due to injury.

3. Alex Iwobi, Everton

Rejuvenated Alex Iwobi will be out to continue to impress his new gaffer, Frank Lampard. Since the former Chelsea manager took over Alex Iwobi has been one of the most consistent players for Everton.

The former Arsenal midfielder will be out to continue to impress both his manager and the fans who have a special song and name for the Nigerian.

2. Taiwo Awoniyi, Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest’s new boy Taiwo Awoniyi will be out to reward the club who smashed their transfer record to sign him from Germany.

1. Joe Aribo, Southampton

After impressing at Rangers and during friendly games at his new club – all eyes will be on Joe Aribo to live up to his star tag.
