Snoop Dogg and Football Legend Luka Modric Become Co-Owners of Swansea City

Famous American rapper Snoop Dogg is now a part-owner of English football club Swansea City. He has joined Croatian football star Luka Modric in the club’s new ownership team.
Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, is 53 years old and known worldwide. He officially became a co-owner of Swansea with Croatian football legend Luka Modric a club that plays in the EFL Championship (the second-highest league in English football).
Snoop Dogg’s Excitement
The news was confirmed on Thursday, just days after Snoop was seen wearing Swansea’s new jersey for the 2025/26 season — a moment that quickly spread online.
Snoop said, “Everyone knows I love football. But joining Swansea City as a co-owner is really special to me. The club’s story and the city’s working-class background connect with who I am. This club is an underdog, just like me. I’m proud to be part of it.”
Swansea’s Statement
The club also shared their excitement, saying: “To use one of Snoop’s famous lines, this is ‘the next episode’ for Swansea City. We want to grow the club and reach more fans around the world. With Snoop’s huge global following, we believe we can do that.”
New Owners, New Era
This move comes after American investors Brett Cravatt and Jason Cohen took over most of the club in November 2024.

Earlier this year, Luka Modric, a football legend who won the Ballon d’Or in 2018, also became a co-owner. He recently signed with AC Milan at age 39 after leaving Real Madrid.
Now with Snoop Dogg and Modric on board, Swansea City is looking forward to a bright new future.
