So frustrating’ — Chelsea criticized for selling ₦71 Billion rated Super Eagles star Marc Guehi

Former Chelsea player Joe Cole has criticized the club for selling one of their best young defenders, Marc Guehi.

Chelsea sold Guehi to Crystal Palace, and since then, he has become one of the best defenders in the Premier League. Guehi joined Chelsea’s academy at the age of seven and made his first-team debut in 2019. He was loaned to Swansea City before being sold to Crystal Palace in 2021.

Now, Chelsea is reportedly trying to bring Guehi back to Stamford Bridge to help with their current defensive problems.

Joe Cole said, “It’s frustrating for Chelsea because they’ve sold a player like Marc Guehi, who has become a top defender. I could see his potential back then, and now he’s starting for England.”

Cole added that Chelsea’s defense is struggling with injuries, and Guehi’s success at Palace shows what they lost.
