Solomon Ogbeide and Lobi Stars will continue to fight for maximum points for top 3 finish

Lobi Stars coach Solomon Ogbeide has said his side will continue to play for the maximum three points as they fight to make the cut for the top three in group A.

Solomon Ogbeide who led his side to a 1-1 draw against Rangers International in a rescheduled NPFL game played on Wednesday revealed his satisfaction in his boys display.

Lobi Stars stopped Rangers International from keeping their 100% home record after forcing the Flying Antelopes to a 1-1 draw but Solomon Ogbeide said top three place in group A is the goal

“We came here to ensure we did not lose to a side who have been scoring goals on the road and thankfully our strategy worked,” he said.

“We hope to continue challenging for a top three finish.”

The competition is tough in group A as Rangers maintained top spot in the group with 28 points from 13 matches closely followed by Enyimba and MFM, who both have 24 points from 15 matches and Lobi Stars with 22 points from 15 games.

Lobi Stars will have the chance to leapfrog 2nd placed Enyimba of Aba when they host the People’s Elephant on Easter Sunday in a match day 16 fixture.
