Southampton Cruise Past Wrexham to Boost Play-Off Hopes

Southampton moved into the top six of the Championship with a strong win over Wrexham at Stok Cae Ras.
The visitors made a fast start and took control early in the game. Kuryu Matsuki opened the scoring, before Flynn Downes added a second shortly after to give Southampton a comfortable lead.
Wrexham struggled in the opening stages but improved after 30 minutes. Their effort paid off when Josh Windass calmly finished to reduce the deficit.
However, Southampton restored their advantage in the second half. Cyle Larin took advantage of a poor pass and fired home to make it 3-1. Late goals from Ross Stewart and Finn Azaz sealed an impressive victory for the Saints.
The result makes it five straight wins for Southampton, who now climb above Wrexham into sixth place with a game in hand. Wrexham, meanwhile, drop to seventh as the race for the play-off spots continues.
