Southampton set Paul Onuachu transfer fee amid keen Trabzonspor interest
Newly-promoted Premier League side Southampton are looking to recoup their losses from the signing of Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu.
The Saints recently reduced their asking price for the Nigerian striker, as Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor continues to pursue him.
Despite Onuachu’s impressive performance last season, with 19 goal contributions in 21 matches for Trabzonspor, Southampton has yet to reach an agreement with the Turkish club.
Trabzonspor initially offered €6 million for the striker, including a 25% sell-on clause.
Southampton is willing to negotiate and has lowered their valuation for Onuachu. They are now open to a deal if Trabzonspor increases their offer to €10 million.
Negotiations are ongoing, and it remains to be seen if the two clubs can reach an agreement in the coming days.
