Rodri’s Stellar Year Rodri’s influence in Manchester City’s success is undeniable. His performances throughout the season were crucial in helping City secure another Premier League title.

Furthermore, his contributions to Spain’s Euro 2024 campaign, where he was named Player of the Tournament despite being injured early in the final against England, have solidified his position as a top contender for the Ballon d’Or.

De la Fuente did not hold back in his praise for the midfielder. “Rodri is the best player in the world, please give him the Ballon d’Or now,” he declared, according to the Daily Mail. If Rodri were to win, he would be the first Spaniard to receive the award since Luis Suárez in 1960.
