Spurs beat Jazz, Clippers down Pistons in OT
The San Antonio Spurs barely raised a sweat as they preserved their perfect home record with a 118-81 win over the Utah Jazz in the NBA on Monday.
San Antonio improved to 13-0 at AT&T Center in a game the Spurs never trailed.
Kawhi Leonard led the Spurs with 22 points, while LaMarcus Aldridge and Tony Parker contributed 18 points apiece.
The result also saw coach Gregg Popovich (1,043) move eighth on the all-time wins list, surpassing Rick Adelman.
Derrick Favors was the pick of the Jazz players with 16 points.
The Los Angeles Clippers edged the Detroit Pistons 105-103 in overtime thanks to Jamal Crawford’s late heroics.
Crawford (14 points) nailed a three-pointer with 12.4 seconds remaining.
Pistons star Andre Drummond (20 points, 15 rebounds) had two opportunities to level the contest but he missed the tip-in.
Chandler Parsons helped the Dallas Mavericks top the Phoenix Suns 104-94.
Parsons posted 15 of his 17 points in the second half as the Mavericks snapped a three-game skid at home.
Deron Williams led the Mavs with 18 points, while Eric Bledsloe had 23 points and seven assists for the Suns.
The Memphis Grizzlies beat the Washington Wizards 112-95 thanks to double-doubles from Marc Gasol and Mike Conley.
Gasol scored 24 points and collected 12 rebounds, and Conley finished with 18 points and tallied 11 assists.
The Denver Nuggets held off the Houston Rockets 114-108, the Miami Heat stunned the Atlanta Hawks 100-88 and the Orlando Magic accounted for the Brooklyn Nets 105-82.
Elsewhere, the Chicago Bulls were 115-96 winners over the lowly Philadelphia 76ers, the Toronto Raptors lost 106-90 to the Indiana Pacers and the Portland Trail Blazers defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 105-101.
