Squash: Onas Delighted With Semifinal Spot At 2nd Chief Olusegun Obasanjo National Squash Open
Top rank player at the 2nd Chief Olusegun Obasanjo National Squash Open, Onaopemipo Adegoke has expressed his delight at reaching the semifinal of the Open holding in Abeokuta.
Onas as he is fondly called defeated Kehinde Samuel 3-0 in a best of five games in the quarterfinal to reach the last four.
While speaking to sportsration.com, Onaopemipo said: “It was a tough match as I had to put all my best and make sure I didn’t lose, avoiding some unforced errors and maintaining my game”
“The officiating was fair and at the same time not fair, it was on both ends”, Onas said as regards the officiating of the game
Getting to the medal zone makes it two wins away from winning the tournament, Onaopemipo side he’s confident
“I’m looking forward to playing my best and leaving the rest”. He said.
The 2nd Chief Olusegun Obasanjo National Squash Open will get to the semifinal stage on Sunday.
