Stanley Nwabali returns to training with Chippa United
Despite ongoing speculation about a potential transfer this summer, super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has resumed training with Chippa United.
Stanley Nwabali gained significant attention earlier this year following his outstanding performances with Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
He was brought in by Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro to replace Francis Uzoho. Nwabali impressed by keeping four clean sheets, helping Nigeria secure a second-place finish in the tournament.
Upon returning to Chippa United after AFCON, Nwabali maintained his strong form, achieving eleven clean sheets in 23 South African Premier League matches.
his consistency has sparked interest from clubs such as QPR, Al Ettifaq, and Orlando Pirates. However, no concrete offers have been made for the 28-year-old goalkeeper.
In the meantime, Nwabali has joined Chippa United’s pre-season training and shared videos of himself participating in drills at the club’s training facility on Tuesday. With the South African Premier League set to resume next month, Nwabali remains focused on preparing for the new season, unless a transfer materializes soon.
