Stephen Curry 42 points lift Warriors past Nuggets
The Golden State Warriors beat the Denver Nuggets 137-131 in overtime, led by Stephen Curry’s 42-point night. Curry scored 35 of those points in the second half and OT, powering the Warriors to an amazing home win. He added 7 assists, 6 rebounds, 3 steals, and 6 threes.
Curry was unstoppable down the stretch, putting up 20 of the team’s final 30 points from the last five minutes of regulation through overtime.
Draymond Green said after the game, “He loves the show… any time there’s a show to be put on, he’s going to do it.” Al Horford added, “Man, it’s a lot of fun [being his teammate].”
Notable Performances
Aaron Gordon had a career night for Denver with 50 points and an incredible 10-of-11 from three. Nikola Jokić added 21 points and 13 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Curry’s late heroics.
