Suns takes Game 1 of Western Conference Finals against Clippers
Hawks qualify for final of Eastern Conference with win over 76ers
Devin Booker recorded a triple-double for the Phoenix Suns as they edged out the Los Angeles Clippers 120-114 in Game 1 of their NBA Western Conference Finals to take a 1-0 lead in the series. Booker finished the game with 40 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists in the absence of veteran Chris Paul. Deandre Ayton contributed 20 points to the tally as the Phoenix Suns started in the best possible way.
In Game 7 of the NBA Eastern Conference semifinals, Atlanta Hawks overcame the Philadelphia 76ers 103-96 to ensure that they ended a remarkable season by playing in the Eastern Conference Finals. Kevin Huerter led the scoring for the Hawks with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Trae Young was also instrumental despite an uncharacteristic wayward shooting, as he converted a number of clutch shots and ended the game with 21 points, 3 rebounds and 10 assists. The Atlanta Hawks emerged victorious by a 4-3 scoreline and will face the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference Finals.
