Super Eagles B Lose CHAN Opener 1-0 to Senegal

Nigeria’s Super Eagles B team lost 1-0 to Senegal in their first match of the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN).

The match, which was played on Tuesday, saw the Nigerian team struggle to create clear chances as Senegal proved stronger on the day. Senegal scored the only goal of the match in the first half and held on to their lead until the final whistle.

Despite some efforts from the Super Eagles B to get back into the game, they could not find the back of the net.

Nigeria will now need to win their next group matches to stand a chance of progressing in the tournament. The CHAN competition is only for players who play in their country’s local leagues.

The Super Eagles B will be hoping to bounce back quickly in their next game.
