Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa sends message to Nigerians
Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa, has once again used his social media to address social issues. Musa reflected on the unity witnessed among Nigerians during the national team’s recent match against Angola in Ivory Coast.
He noted that the success of the Super Eagles had brought people together, transcending tribal, religious, and political divisions.
Despite facing criticism for his inclusion in the AFCON squad and not playing a single minute in the tournament’s five games, Musa emphasized the unifying power of football.
He expressed a desire for this sense of unity to extend beyond the AFCON tournament, urging everyone to maintain the spirit of oneness.
In a statement posted on X, Musa conveyed his gratitude to the supporters for showcasing the true spirit of unity during the Super Eagles vs. Angola match.

Despite his limited on-field role at the AFCON tournament, Musa, who plays for Sivasspor, remains one of the most accomplished players in Super Eagles’ history.
