Super Eagles drop two places in the November 2023 FIFA ranking
Super Eagles of Nigeria have dropped two places in the November 2023 FIFA ranking as released by the world football governing body.
The latest ranking was published on FIFA’s website on Thursday, 30 November, 2023.
Nigeria was placed 40th in the world in October but have dropped to 42nd spot.
This drop is no surprise after the Super Eagles’ disappointing outing in their two opening fixtures in Group C 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Nigeria played 1-1 draws vs lowly ranked Lesotho and Zimbabwe in November and so have fallen further down the pecking order.
Retaining their position at the top of the world rankings is Argentina, followed by France, England, and Belgium, respectively.
On the other hand, Brazil suffered setbacks with consecutive defeats against Colombia and Argentina, resulting in a drop from 3rd to 5th place.
