Super Eagles star honoured with ‘Player of the month award’ In Belgium

September brought mixed fortunes for Nigerian footballers abroad. In Belgium, one Super Eagles star was honoured with his club’s Player of the Month award after a stellar start to the new season.

Belgian Jupiler Pro League club, Club Brugge, has named Nigeria’s Super Eagles star Ralph Onyedika as their Player of the Month for September.

The announcement was made on Monday evening, with the midfielder Onyedika beating strong competition from Hans Vanaken, Simon Mignolet, and Tzolis to claim the award. The Nigerian midfielder’s impressive performances earned him the Most Valuable Player title.

Onyedika is also expected to be called up for the Super Eagles squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya in October.
