Oghenekaro Etebo made his return to action from Injury this afternoon for Watford U-23 team. The midfielder played for 45 minutes in the 3-0 defeat to Ipswich U-23.
Etebo picked up the Injury in October 2021 when he tore his quad Muscle in Watford’s English Premier league game against Newcastle. Etebo missed the 2021 AFCON as a result of the Injury.
After bagging 45 minutes today , Oghenekaro Etebo will work to convince new Watford manager Roy Hogdson of his fitness level in the coming weeks to earn a place on the roster with the first team.
Manager Roy Hogdson boasted by this weekends win over Aston villa in the English Premier league will not rush the Nigerian midfielder back into action and a place in the Super Eagles rooster for the World Cup qualification playoff vs Ghana looks unlikely too.
Oghenekaro Etebo will be relieved to have gotten some minutes of action and will work to regain full fitness after overcoming the longest Injury spell of his career.
