Super Eagles starting XI for Guinea-Bissau AFCON clash
Super Eagles of Nigeria head coach Jose Peseiro has made four changes to his starting XI for the AFCON clash vs Guinea-Bissau.
Captain William Troost-Ekong is ruled out for the match with injury, and in his place, the experienced Kenneth Omeruo will assume the captain’s armband.
The lineup alterations also include the introduction of Joe Aribo and Bright Osayi-Samuel, both making their first starts in the tournament.
Additionally, Moses Simon returns to the starting eleven after being excluded from the lineup in the team’s previous 1-0 victory over Ivory Coast last Thursday.
Samuel Chukwueze and Calvin Bassey have retained their positions, while Victor Osimhen continues to lead the attacking line for the Super Eagles.
The team, currently with four points from two matches, aims to secure a victory against Guinea-Bissau to potentially claim the top spot in Group A.
The Super Eagles’ starting XI for the crucial encounter includes Nwabali, Bassey, Omeruo, Ajayi, Osayi-Samuel, Aina, Onyeka, Aribo, Moses, Chukwueze, and Osimhen.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 6:00 PM Nigerian time.
