Super Eagles winger Moses Simon undergoes successful surgery
Super Eagles winger Moses Simon has undergone successful surgery on his fractured left leg, following the March International break.
The injury occurred during Nigeria’s recent friendly match against the Eagles of Mali, where the 28-year-old collided with Mali goalkeeper Mamadou Samassa in the first half and had to be stretchered off the pitch.
Following the incident, Simon’s French club, Nantes, confirmed that he would be sidelined for the remainder of the season due to the severity of the injury.
The surgery, conducted on Friday, was deemed successful, marking a crucial step in Simon’s road to recovery. He is now expected to embark on the rehabilitation process to regain full fitness.
Simon has been a key player for Nantes this season, contributing three goals and six assists. His absence will undoubtedly be felt by the team as they navigate the remainder of the campaign without him.
