Super Falcons camp opens for 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup

The camp of Nigeria’s Super Falcons will open for final preparations for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia/New Zealand.

SportsRation can exclusively confirm that Barcelona forward, Asisat Oshola, captain, Onome Ebi, Athletico Madrid forward, Rasheedat Ajibade will hit the Abuja camp from tomorrow.

USA based trio Michelle Alozie of Houston Dash, Ifeoma Onumonu of New York FC, and Uchenna Kanu of Racing Louisville FC will hit Abuja today alongside bulk of the 23-player squad.

Head Coach Randy Waldrum and his crew are already on ground to receive the players and set-up training plans for the team until their expected trip to Australia.

The Falcons will be hosted to a farewell dinner on Saturday July 1, after which they will hit Australia for a 15-day long camping.

Nigeria and 31 others will battle for honours when the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup gets underway in Australia and New Zealand from 20th of July to August 20, 2023.

Australia, Canada and the Republic of Ireland are Nigeria’s group stage opposition at the mundial.
