Super Man! Iwobi could make early Injury return against Aribo’s Southampton
Everton Midfielder Alex Iwobi could make an early return from Injury when the Toffees face Joe Aribo’s Southampton in the EPL , Frank Lampard confirmed.
Scan result had shown Alex Iwobi will need at least three weeks to recover from the ankle ligament Injury sustained during Everton’s FA Cup loss to Manchester United.
In Super man fashion, the Nigerian Midfielder has shaken off the Injury and could play when compatriot Aribo and his Saint teammates visit Goodison park .
” It’s a lesser Injury than what we thought, ”
” We’ll see in the morning [Saturday] whether he is ready to play tomorrow, ” Lampard revealed on Friday.
Iwobi has been an integral part of the Everton set-up since Frank Lampard’s arrival last season.
This season, Iwobi has played in all but one game for Everton with a goal and five assists to his name.
If he is declared fit for the game, Alex Iwobi will be an extra boost with striker Dominic Calvin-Lewin fit and available for the game as well.
Everton and Southampton are currently struggling in the drop zone of the English Premier League.
Both teams are desperately in need of points and with three points on offer at Goodison park on Saturday afternoon, both managers will definitely be happy to field their best legs.
