Team Nigeria captain dumped out of Paris Olympic games

Nigeria’s badminton player and team captain Anuoluwapo Opeyori’s hopes of making a comeback in the men’s singles event at the 2024 Paris Olympics have been dashed.

Opeyori, who lost his opening game on Tuesday, faced a tough challenge on Wednesday against the 6th-ranked Li Shi Feng of China on Wednesday.

Despite focusing on the match, Opeyori was unable to turn the tide and lost 2-0, with scores of 21-17 in both sets.

As a result, Opeyori, who is also the captain of Team Nigeria, has been eliminated from the 2024 Olympic Games.
