Team Nigeria’s Rosemary Chukwuma advances to Women’s 100m semi-finals at Paris 2024 Olympics
Nigerian sprinter Rosemary Chukwuma has secured her place in the semifinals of the women’s 100m at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Rosemary Chukwuma finished in 3rd place in her heat with a time of 11.26 seconds.
Poland’s Ewa Swoboda won the race with a season’s best of 10.99 seconds, while Dina Asher-Smith of the United States took 2nd place with a time of 11.01 seconds.
Chukwuma is one of the top three African women in the competition, alongside Marie Josee-Ta Lou of Ivory Coast, who ran 10.87 seconds, and Gina Bass of Gambia, who also clocked 11.01 seconds.
The women’s 100m semifinals are set to take place on Saturday at 6:30 pm.
