Tella bags assist in Bayer Leverkusen win over Bayern Munich
Nathan Tella contributed an assist as Bayer Leverkusen secured an impressive 3-0 victory over Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
This win extended Leverkusen’s unbeaten streak to 31 consecutive competitive matches, comprising 27 wins and four draws across all competitions. Remarkably, Leverkusen now sits just one game short of the Bundesliga record for an undefeated streak held by Bayern Munich.
In the match against Bayern, Tella played a crucial role in Leverkusen’s second goal, providing the assist for Alex Grimaldo’s strike in the 50th minute. Tella was substituted in the 65th minute, making way for Jeremie Frimpong.
With this win, Leverkusen extends its lead over second-placed Bayern to five points, accumulating 55 points after 21 league games this season.
Tella, who made his 12th league appearance for Xabi Alonso’s side, has contributed four goals so far.
Meanwhile, Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface remains sidelined due to injury.
