Leverkusen’s only goal came late in the match when defender Nordi Mukiele scored in stoppage time to give them the win. This victory pushed Leverkusen up to second place in their Champions League group, ahead of Barcelona.
Leverkusen had most of the possession, but Inter’s defense kept them from getting many shots on goal in the first half. Tella had a great chance to score early, but his shot hit the crossbar.
