Ten Super Eagles Stars In Camp as Eric Chelle Begins Preparation for 2025 AFCON

Ten Super Eagles players have arrived in Cairo, Egypt, as Nigeria continue preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and an international friendly against Egypt.
Amas Obasogie, Semi Ajayi, Ademola Lookman, Igho Ogbu, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Tochukwu Nnadi reported to camp on Monday, increasing the number of players in camp to ten.
They joined earlier arrivals Francis Uzoho, Stanley Nwabali, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, who arrived on Sunday when the team’s training camp officially opened.
The Super Eagles are camped at the Renaissance Hotel in Cairo, where the technical crew and backroom staff are already in place and supervising preparations.
The Cairo camp will also serve as preparation for a friendly match against Egypt scheduled for Tuesday, December 16, at the Cairo International Stadium.
After the friendly, Nigeria are expected to travel on a chartered flight to Fes, Morocco, where they will be based for the group stage of the tournament.
Nigeria have been drawn in Group C of the 2025 AFCON alongside Tunisia, Tanzania and Uganda. The early arrival of players suggests a serious and focused approach as the Super Eagles begin their quest for continental success.
