“The Man for the Job” – Akwa United FC Present Coach Paul Offor, Reaffirm Confidence Ahead of New Season

Akwa United FC officially presented their new Head Coach, Paul Offor, in posts shared across the club’s social media platforms on Saturday, November 8, 2025. This was the coach’s first public appearance since his appointment in August.
In two posts, the club expressed full confidence in Offor’s ability to lead the team back to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) as the 2025/2026 Nigeria National League (NNL) season begins.
The first post featured a short video introducing the coach with the caption:
“Coach Paul Offor steps in — the man for the job! Say hello to our new Head Coach. #WeRiseTogether #AkwaUnited #IbomAir #NNL26.”
A second post showed Offor proudly holding the club’s home jersey, bearing the logo of their official sponsor, Ibom Air, with the caption:
“The BOSS. #PaulOffor #WeRiseTogether #AkwaUnited #IbomAir #NNL26.”

Offor, who previously guided Sporting Lagos to NPFL promotion in the 2023/24 season, had since resumed duties in Uyo, where he is currently leading Akwa United’s pre-season training.
The UEFA B-licenced coach, left high flying Nationwide League One side Grassrunners FC in August, is tasked with returning the Promise Keepers to the top flight after their relegation last season.

He will be assisted by Tosin Adekugbe, Okechukwu Promise, Usen Ebuk, Bassey Akpan, and Akarandut Orok.
Akwa United will kick off their 2025/2026 NNL season with a home fixture against Solution FC on Sunday, November 16, 2025.
