‘The pitch will do the talking’ – Paul Pogba reacts to Juventus exit reports

Paul Pogba has made it clear that he wants to remain at Juventus and will allow the pitch do the talking amid rumours that the club may cancel his contract.

The French midfielder faced a difficult time after being suspended for testing positive for high levels of testosterone. He was originally given a four-year ban, but the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) recently reduced it to 18 months. With the new ruling, Pogba could return to the pitch as early as March 2025.

However, some reports suggested that Juventus was considering ending Pogba’s contract despite his potential return.

In an interview with Gazetta, the 31-year-old said he is committed to staying at Juventus and is even willing to accept a pay cut to remain with the club.

“I’m willing to take a salary cut to stay at Juventus,” Pogba said. “Right now, my focus is only on training and playing for Juventus.”

Pogba dismissed rumours of a move to AC Milan, saying:

“Will I join AC Milan? Impossible. Even if Ibrahimović called, I wouldn’t betray Juventus. I don’t see myself wearing any other jersey.”

He added:

“The pitch will do the talking, and it’s up to Thiago Motta to judge my performance.”

Pogba now aims to impress Juventus’ new manager Thiago Motta and earn his spot back in the team. Despite all the setbacks, Pogba says his main goal is to wear the Juventus shirt again and prove his worth on the field.
