Thompson stars as Warriors beat Suns, Spurs and OKC win again

The Golden State Warriors returned to winning ways with a 128-103 thrashing of the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday.

Klay Thompson dominated with 43 points, including eight three-pointers, as the Warriors responded to their first loss of the season in style.

Australian centre Andrew Bogut also impressed with 12 rebounds, with Steph Curry finishing with 25 points.

Mirza Teletovic netted 24 points for the Suns.

The San Antonio Spurs made it 23 straight home wins with a 114-95 victory against the Washington Wizards.

Kawhi Leonard had a game-high 27 points as the Spurs improved to 22-5 this season.

The Detroit Pistons won the closest contest of the day with a thrilling 119-116 victory over the Boston Celtics.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (31) and Reggie Jackson (23) did the most damage with 54 points between them, while Andre Drummond had a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds.

The New York Knicks defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 107-102.

The Knicks were 20 points clear at half-time, but had to settle for a five-point victory after a strong showing from Minnesota, led by Karl-Anthony Towns who scored 25 points, four fewer than Arron Afflalo’s game-high 29 for the Knicks.

Kevin Durant’s 24-point haul saw the Oklahoma City Thunder brush past the Portland Trail Blazers 106-90.

The Indiana Pacers overcame the Dallas Mavericks 107-81, Jimmy Butler’s 24 points helped the Chicago Bulls past the Memphis Grizzlies 98-85 and the Los Angeles Clippers got the better of the Milwaukee Bucks 103-90.

The Charlotte Hornets fell to a 113-98 loss to the Orlando Magic, while the Miami Heat were 104-98 winners against the Brooklyn Nets

The Philadelphia 76ers lost their eighth game on the bounce in a 127-106 loss to the Atlanta Hawks and the New Orleans Pelicans managed a seventh win of the season by beating the Utah Jazz 104-94.
