Thunder Beat Grizzlies to Secure 10th Win of the Season

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 35 points, including nine in the final quarter, as the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 114-100 on Sunday to claim their 10th win of the NBA season.

The defending champions improved to 10-1 overall and 6-1 on the road, showing resilience after trailing by 19 points in the first half.

Memphis stayed within reach with just over four minutes remaining, but Gilgeous-Alexander’s back-to-back three-pointers and a three-point play sealed the victory for Oklahoma City.

Chet Holmgren and Ajay Mitchell added 21 points each for the Thunder, while Isaiah Hartenstein posted 18 points and 13 rebounds.

For the Grizzlies, Jaren Jackson Jr. led with 17 points, Cedric Coward had 13 points and 10 rebounds, and both Jaylen Wells and Santi Aldama scored 12 each. Star guard Ja Morant struggled, finishing with only 11 points on 3-of-18 shooting.

After a slow start and poor first-half shooting, the Thunder turned the game around with a dominant third quarter, outscoring Memphis 34-18. They went on to win the second half 63-38, showing the form that has made them one of the league’s strongest teams early in the season.

The victory marked Oklahoma City’s 14th straight win over Memphis, including last season’s playoff sweep.
