Tinubu a big shareholder in Manchester United – Jibrin
Lagos State former governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu is said to own a huge stake in Manchester United Football Club.
To many football fans, the Glaziers family owns and run Manchester United.
But according to New York Stocks exchange three companies have the most shares in Manchester United Football club.
They are Lindsell Train Ltd. (21.04%), Ariel Investments LLC (20.07%), and BAMCO, Inc.(19.89%).
We don’t know if any of those listed companies are run by proxy for Bola Tinubu because Abdulmumin Jibrin claims the presidential aspirant owns a large stake in the Reds.
Abdulmumin Jibrin, the Director-General of the Tinubu Support Management Council disclosed this while speaking as a guest by Zoom on prime time programme on Television Continental, Journalists Hangout.
“I was shocked to discover that Asiwaju has enormous shares in Apple Corporation and also lately while watching football with him, I also discovered that he is a big shareholder in Manchester United.”
For a while now, Africa richest man, Aliko Dangote has been talking about his aspirations of buying his favourite club, Arsenal.
If the Tinubu rumours are true, and Dangote by chance buys Arsenal it means two of the most supported clubs in Nigeria could have Nigerian owners.
