Tobi Amusan makes bright start to World Athletics Championship Gold medal defence

Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan won Heat 5 of the Women’s 100 metres Hurdle event at the 2023 World Athletics Championship in Budapest, Hungary.

Amusan eased to the finish line in a time of 12.48s to win Heat 5 of Women’s 100m Hurdle at 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest.

This means, she is through to the semifinal on Wednesday August 23.

Amusan shook off the struggles of battling a ban that almost stopped her participation at the Championship and required a last-minute clearance.

The 2022 World Athletics Championship Gold medalist is widely tipped to defend medal and possibly set a new record for the event.
