Tuchel Warns Jude Bellingham: “We Need Even More Impact” from Real Madrid Star
England manager Thomas Tuchel has sent a clear message to Jude Bellingham, saying he expects “even more impact” from the Real Madrid midfielder.
Bellingham gave a strong performance in England’s 2-0 win over Albania in their first 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match. He assisted Myles Lewis-Skelly’s opening goal and almost scored himself. However, Tuchel believes the 21-year-old can still improve.
What Tuchel Said
Speaking to reporters, Tuchel explained, “Jude is always ready to give his all, but we need to help him play smarter. If he can use his energy better within the team’s structure, he can have an even bigger impact. He’s a leader and we need all our key players to play in the same rhythm, helping each other. A little more discipline will help him save energy for the most important moments.”
Tuchel also praised Bellingham’s passion: “He’s very emotional on the pitch. He loves to talk to the referee and linesmen. You can see he hates losing and gives everything. That hunger and desire are great, and we’ll help him focus those emotions in the right way. He’s a key player for us.”
What’s Next?
England will now face Latvia in their second World Cup qualifier at Wembley on Monday, March 24, 2025.
Tuchel’s message is clear: Bellingham is already a star, but England needs him to do even more as they aim for success under their new coach.
