Solomon Agbalaka has been named the man of the match in the Flying Eagles 2-0 win over Mozambique on Saturday.

It is the second time the defender will pick up the man of the match award after winning it against Egypt.

He produced an impressive performance in the game, providing the assist for the team’s second goal scored by Ibrahim Muhammad.

CAF announced Agbalaka as the winner of the award on their Twitter handle.

The Flying Eagles booked a place in the quarter-finals of the 2023 U-20 Nations Cup in Egypt thanks to goals from Samson Lawal and Ibrahim Muhammad.

The team will take on the second-placed team in Group B in the last eight of the competition on Thursday.

Lasan Bosso-led team finished second in Group A behind Senegal, who defeated Egypt 4-0 to top the group.
